GANGES – A Sophisticated Rural Township
Ganges was settled in 1837 and it is a steadily growing and changing community near Lake Michigan.
Although farming is still the economic base, much farmland has been converted to residential uses.
It is dotted with small businesses, a winery and the Lakeshore Interfaith Community.
For generations people from out of the area have owned cottages and vacationed in this community near Saugatuck, Douglas and South Haven.
